Nomads Among Us

A devised work directed by Joni Barnard and Mwenya Kabwe.  This immersive, site responsive work took place in the captivating Origins Centre Museum and composed of stories created from the real-life migration narratives of the families of the cast. The design delt with a leave no trace concept. Every set piece, prop and lighting component was brought in by the cast and cleared at the end of the show. Like nomadic travellers the costumes were like the shell on a snail, their home containing all essentials.
